Abstract


The first two years of life, characterised by rapid physical and social growth and development is a period in which many changes that affect feeding and nutrient intake occur. The adequacy of an infant’s
nutrient intake affects their interaction with their environment and can contribute to a reduced incidence of disease not only in childhood, but well into adulthood.
