Modern wound care products that produce palliative qualities

Abstract


Some cancer patients often present with radiation burns, or large exudating, odourous wounds. At this stage of this debilitating disease, palliative relief to the patient from both pain and odour is paramount.
The challenge posed to the Private Nursing Practitioner is to try to achieve the balance in both instances, and by the same token to encourage the patient to lead as normal a life as is possible in the circumstances they find themselves in.
