Breastfeeding: Full and Engorged Breasts

Abstract


The first few weeks of breastfeeding (BF) can be a difficult time, especially for the mother having her first baby. Many problems can be prevented if you give mothers the support that they need in the first few days. Engorgement can lead to BF failure or mastitis. Full breasts should not be confused with engorged breasts.
