Abstract

This case accentuates the need for a multidisciplinary approach to wound care problems, facilitatory in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Even with a multidisciplinary approach, in some instances, the entire team may find it difficult to provide a diagnosis. It is necessary for all relevant team members to assist in the brainstorming process and ultimate management of the patient. Additionally, the patient should be included in the process, as his/her compliance is essential.
