Babies - Nappy rash
Abstract
Nappy or diaper rash is a common and usually minor condition in babies. It is caused by irritation of the baby’s skin from prolonged contact with moisture, urine or
stool and friction from the nappy. Usually it is only the areas of the skin touching the nappy that are affected. Sometimes, the nappy rash can be caused by fungal
infections and less commonly, by bacterial infections.
