Abstract

Rhinitis can be classified into three basic categories, based on its cause: o Allergic rhinitis – caused by allergy to e.g. pollen, animal dander, house dust mites etc. o Non-allergic rhinitis – caused by e.g. tobacco smoke, strong fragrances, changes in temperature etc. o Infectious rhinitis – usually caused by viral infection
