Viral rhinitis – Red, raw and runny
Abstract
as the occurrence of annoying nasal symptoms including discharge, itching, sneezing, congestion and pressure. Rhinitis can be classified into three basic categories, based on its cause:
o Allergic rhinitis – caused by allergy to e.g. pollen, animal dander, house dust mites etc.
o Non-allergic rhinitis – caused by e.g. tobacco smoke, strong fragrances, changes in temperature etc.
o Infectious rhinitis – usually caused by viral infection
