Cough mixtures

Abstract


Cough remains one of the most common complaints motivating patients to seek medical attention. The most common causes of a chronic persistent cough in a non-smoking immunocompetent person with a normal chest X-ray are postnasal drip, asthma and gastroesophageal reflux, while an acute cough is a frequent symptom associated with viral respiratory tract infections such as colds and flu.
