The Role of the Private Nursing Practitioner in a Multidisciplinary Team

Abstract


Private nursing practitioners often feel left out of the treatment regime regarding patients under their care; this is due to misconceptions in the medical profession regarding the role of the private nursing practitioner. It is therefore very important to establish a referral and multi disciplinary health team approach to facilitate optimum treatment and healing in wound care.
